Dino Mountain Bike Spring Tune-Up
Earth Day Festival: Healthy Habits = Healthy Habitats Festival will feature demonstrations, displays, entertainment and kid’s activities. The day will center around easy ways that citizens can incorporate conservation habits into their lifestyles that will ultimately lead to healthy habitats.
Community Yard Sale Are you interested in selling unwanted items from around the house? Are you searching for a special treasure? Join us at the Park for a Community Yard Sale! The Park has booth space available.
Touch a Truck Kids of all ages can climb on and explore a variety of different trucks and equipment.
Corn Hole Tournament Got the skills? Play a round robin tournament. Prizes will be awarded.
Date Night Parents, drop off the kids and get some alone time! Activities includes dinner and snacks, games, crafts and a short movie.
Toddler Open Gym Children ages 1-4 can come enjoy some active quality time exploring different stations in this parent/child open gym. We will supply balls, mats and equipment so you and your child can explore different motor-skill activities.
Pint Sized Chef Your pint sized chef will gain hands on experience while they explore the lost art of made-from-scratch as well as how to combine everyday convenience items to create gourmet meals. All this while learning kitchen safety, nutrition, food science, and etiquette in a safe and exciting environment. Each "chef" will make a great treat to bring home and show the whole family.
Hand Made By Me In this program your child will create a new piece of artwork each week with their own hand as the focal point. Different materials will be used each week including paper, paint, plaster and more.
Rib Fest Local restaurants compete for bragging rights of "Best Ribs” and “Best Sauce”. Event features live entertainment and plenty of family friendly activities. The night will be capped off with a fireworks display.
Race Across Hendricks County Participants are invited to join the community parks departments in Hendricks County for The Race Across Hendricks County on Saturday, September 20 from 8:00am - 6:00pm. Presented in the same format as the popular television show, The Amazing Race, teams of two individuals will travel to five different parks throughout Hendricks County to complete fun, timed challenges. The top three teams will be awarded large cash prizes, with all contestants receiving a t-shirt, lunch, and dinner and other give-a-ways.
Avon Kids' Camp (Download Brochure Here) NOTE: Please do not register for the camp using our current Online Registration System, as your request will not be processed. We will have a new Registration System in place soon. For now, you may call or e-mail the Parks Department to register.
Concerts in the Park Enjoy live music at the brand new Amphitheater in the North Park Expansion. Concessions will be available for purchase.
Movies on the Barn Free family-friendly movies shown at dusk on the side of our Park Office, at the bottom of the sled hill. Concessions will be available for purchase, and proceeds will benefit Riley Hospital.
Online Registration for all park events and shelter rentals will be available online early April. Please check the website for more details.
