The purpose of Washington Township Park is to serve our community while contributing to the physical, mental and emotional well-being of all of our visitors! Washington Township Park manages and maintains 160 acres of property which encompasses a vast array of recreation opportunities. The Park provides opportunities for both structured and spontaneous play by way of our facilities, preserved wooded areas, and open green space. The Park has four covered picnic facilities, a 24 foot gazebo, two playgrounds, a sand volleyball court, basketball court, horseshoe pits, an outdoor fitness station, two stocked fishing ponds, an outdoor amphitheater, a splash pad, the only Paw Park in Hendricks County, 5 plus miles of trails, and the historic 1876 Whipple Iron Truss bridge.
The Park is also home to the Pavilion Center which is an enclosed event venue privately rented out for a variety of purposes including but not limited to weddings, public events, company meetings, reunions and more!
Washington Township Park provides a great number of events open to the public year-round including a Summer camp, Fall, Winter, and Spring Break camps that offer flexible options for enrollment and an extensive array of activities each day! We also provide programs that educate the community through hands-on exploration of our treasured natural resources, in addition to providing fun family activities at holidays and throughout the year!
