Welcome Are you interested in joining the Avon Kids' Camp this summer? The Avon Kids' Camp is an all outdoors camp. Camp is run out of the Chickadee shelter, located next to the playground. The summer is comprised of nine weeks of camp. Each week will have it's own theme and counselors plan activities throughout the day based on the theme. Counselors are advised to stick to the following station categories while planning activities; sports, health and wellness, crafts, nature, science, large group, and creative writing. Campers will travel to each station throughout the day. Parents will be provided a schedule for the following week on the Thursday before each following week of camp. Structure and planning are very important but we also believe in letting the kids use their imagination. If the kids come up with a fun and safe activity that the counselors agree on....... we are doing it! As parents ourselves, we believe that the kids are structured and scheduled all school year long. Camp is a place to explore, imagine and be a kid. In a world of technology, there is nothing wrong with just being a kid.
