Join the park naturalist for our favorite nature themed camps!
This camp series is for kids ages 7-12. Campers will work closely with our park naturalist on various nature activities. Campers will have fun while learning about the natural world. Camp Location: Pecar Park (5203 E. CR. 150 N. Avon) Dates: June 12-July 14 Hours: 10:00am - 2:00pm (M-F) Weekly Rate: $125.00 Spots available for EACH week: 20 Registration is open until 4pm on Friday for the following week of camp. |
Jr. Naturalist Camp: June 12-16
Topic: Birds & Reptiles
This week is dedicated to learning about birds & reptiles. We’ll learn how to use binoculars, go on hikes to look for birds, visit with our favorite chickens, and have special presentations about our feathered friends and more! We’ll also be learning about our scaley friends, how they live by doing hands-on discovery lessons, and visit with our nature center reptiles.

Topic: Insects & Pond Life
This week is dedicated to learning about insects & pond life. We’ll learn about the secret lives of insects and their friends with hands on discovery lessons, explore our insect lab, and have special presentations! We’ll also be learning about what lives at Raccoon Lagoon with pond exploration activities!

Topic: Nature Survival Week
This week is dedicated to learning about wilderness survival. We’ll be learning about basic foraging tips, fire building, building a shelter, and safety.
